The Club welcomes new or experienced bowlers from 8 years of age. We also have social members who enjoy the facilities of the Club but do not play bowls on a regular basis.
For 2024, the membership fee for new novice adult members is £75 for the full season. This is reduced pro rata according to the number of months remaining in the period from joining until the end of September. The fee for Full Adult Playing members in 2024 is £110, Junior Playing Members from eleven to eighteen years of age pay £17, whilst younger playing members pay just £10 Social membership for the full year is £10.
A minimum of equipment is needed to begin playing bowls at Westbourne. A pair of shoes without heels and with minimum tread is necessary and, once an acceptable playing standard has been achieved, grey trousers or shorts, or skirt and a Club Shirt are needed. In the short term bowls are available for loan, and there is often used equipment available to purchase at low price.
